A 24th Regiment of Foot “Shako” or tall cylindrical peaked cap with a red pompom on the peak.

The 24th Regiment of Foot were involved in the English Civil War 1641-1651, The Marlboroughs Wars, The French Revolution amongst others. The regiment won more than any other regiment when defending the missionary post against the Zulus.
