A rare George II mahogany gout stool made from mahogany and dating from the early George II period, the stool with an oval seat that is upholstered in a period 18th century needlework. With for legs that have pad feet and that are joined by an X stretcher. The stool is of excellent quality and colour and due to its small size, was most likely used as a foot stool or gout stool as they were referred to.
